If you haven’t seen the Dutch Verhoeven-Hauer filmography, you’re missing out. Turkish Delight and Soldier of Orange are the standouts and are highlights of Rutger’s entire career

Yeah. The only reason I know is Rutger and the director discussed it in the commentary for The Hitcher. I think it was on last year's 4k release, which was very well done.

Fun fact: the prop shotgun Rutger uses at the end was also featured in Terminator, though I’ve never gone back into that movie specifically to look for it.

Hooray! This is one of my favorites, too. It showed Rutger could still pull off the leading role later in life if given the chance.
