Imagine now being pilloried for pointing out that Johnson and his govt. were an absolute shitshow and that the vast majority of his foolhardy Brexiteer mates were conniving charlatans because we were Remoaners or unpatriotic or Project Fear doom-mongers or snowflakes or enemies of the people.

Blimey, I hadn't even thought about him. He can't stand Scotland though, can he? Honestly, I think it's a hugely exciting prospect for any coach, we have all the talent and infrastructure you could need. We could be the next Argentina in the right hands, I think.

It’s the worst possible reputation to get for yourself as an international sports team too. Flaky - mentally fragile - can’t handle the pressure - no cojones - chokers. Every team now goes into a match against Scotland knowing they can win from anywhere. It’s excruciating.

I think he’s been a good coach and has brought the team on impressively. But every team needs fresh impetus, at the latest every 4-5 years, because things get stale, voices and messages heard a million times before. It’s time to install Franco Smith while he still has time to prepare for RWC.
