This evening I experienced complete and utter delight in seeing Paul Simon, 83, alongside a wonderful band and his wife, Edie Brickell, 59. It was the last show of his “A Quiet Celebration” tour. The first set was his most recent album, 2023’s “Seven Psalms,” and then a 2nd set of hits.
Phenomenal.

And the Neumos stage got bumping early with opener Pacing, who was the perfect pick to open for Cheekface. They even managed some very involved audience participation, an amazing feat for an unknown opening band.

I’ve seen “counterclockwise” and “anticlockwise” in written language, but I believe this is the first time I’ve seen both within the span of two sentences. I thought these were just regional differences of the same word. Is there a nuance in difference in meaning here that I’m unaware of?
