Is there a difference? Putin clearly has Trump in his pocket.

That's very unfair to slugs.
December 2, 2025 at 5:28 PM
True, but that means well over half of Brits either don't think she exaggerated, or don't give a toss if she did.... We need all the crumbs of comfort we can wrest from the piranha press.

Is that the same Jonathan Gullis who was complaining he couldn't get a job in teaching again (or anywhere else) after the poor lamb lost his seat?
December 2, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Shhh... no one wants to know, the press are too busy tearing Rachel Reeves limb from limb.
December 1, 2025 at 6:19 PM
I'm not uncritical of this govt and they've made some stupid mistakes politically, but I've never seen anything like this in over 50 years of voting. The media's been gunning for them since the first moment they were elected. The misogyny directed at Rachel Reeves is appalling.
December 1, 2025 at 6:12 PM
The piranha press are having an absolute feeding frenzy about Rachel Reeves. It's almost as if they'd like Reform to win the next election... Oh, wait...

At least Little Red Riding Hood's Grandma had found an NHS dentist.

Good for you.

Nicely put. 👏

We can all think of the brave things we should have said to a bully. It's not so easy to say them when you're in the room, you're feeling shocked that it's the actual POTUS attacking you, and your mortgage hangs like a mill stone round your neck.

If they'd set out to write a right wing parody of a socialist party they couldn't have done it better, it's worthy of a BAFTA.

The only reason for hoping Badenoch keeps her place as Tory Party ldr, is that Jenrick is an even nastier piece of work who'll give Farage a run for his money.
November 30, 2025 at 10:06 AM
I'm not sure it's plausible to doubt Farage's commitment to Brexit. His erstwhile boss at Russia Today was delighted we left the EU, and Nathan Gill's generous Russian handler was feeding him lines remarkably similar to those Farage also uttered in the EU Parliament.
November 30, 2025 at 10:01 AM
Just had a peek, it's now at 97 thousand+. Problem is the deadline is May next year, so unless the pressure's kept up it will lose momentum. Why, oh why, won't the govt release the fully unredacted Russia report? There's never been a better, or more urgent, time to do it.

'nasty woman' is such a childish insult. "Mummy, mummy, the nasty woman was mean to me". Trump always seems to be channelling his inner child.
What on earth did they do to poor little Donny to make him so angry and frightened?
November 29, 2025 at 12:20 PM
The problem is that their members under 50 don't know what the connotations are, and those that do don't care.
November 29, 2025 at 12:13 PM
The article is behind a pay wall. Where else is this story reported?
November 29, 2025 at 12:06 PM
It won't deter the hardcore Reform voters, true, but there are plenty of people out there who are yet to decide (I volunteer with a couple) and will be unhappy about Russian interference. As I asked before, what do you suggest? Carping is not an option.
November 28, 2025 at 6:35 PM
This, and the revelations of Farage's teenage racist bullying, are gaining traction. We have to find every way we can of keeping the pressure up, and if it reaches 100k+ that at least gets a bit more attention. What else can we do as well? Any suggestions? Doing nothing is a counsel of despair.
