This drawing is based on Diego Duran’s account about Mexica civil war of 1473. This war was fought between the two city-states of Tenochtitlan and Tlatelolco. The rulers (tlatoani) at the time were Axayacatl of Tenochtitlan, and Moquihuix of Tlatelolco.
