And maybe have a look at the files from the secret "Russian report"
Then arrest Johnson.

There is a problem.
start by banning all foreign derived political donatiins
Then have a looooong enquiry.

Does no one nearby have a jcb? ('backhoe'?)

The could plug that gap in half an hour.

From experience the gods are quite fond of a few rat kebabs, sacrificed over an open bbq until they're just nicely done.

And the costs would be a lot less if the Home Office stopped deliberately taking ages to process applications, and if asylum seekers were allowed to work, earn money and even pay taxes so they didn't have to be housed by the government.

100%. But I didn't mention the regular meetings in the Sacred Grove in the Big Scary Forest* where we meet for drinks, a pot-luck supper, sacrifices, nude rituals** and praise of Eostre.

* Mead Hall if wet. Bring your own sacrificial victim.
** warm summer evenings only.

It's not so much the sinking of the sub, but the impact on the overall Russian military planning and effort. Novorossiysk is no longer 'safe'. They will either have to massively upgrade security and defence (costly in cash and manpower) or move/disperse the ships to other ports, causing chaos.

Learn shorthand? Serious suggestion.

Or...again serious...look at software that will automatically transcribe voice in real time. I've seen it used for instant subtitles - I think there may be browser plug-ins available - so the software could maybe be typing the conversation into another window?

No, no, what you overheard me talking about in the MH was 'fork handles' - the use of which I leave to the happy, smiling orphans, ditto spades and shovels. I however, am always willing to get involved with the hoes.

You will find that Mr Toddserf, the barber, does a nice line in tallow candles.
December 15, 2025 at 10:29 PM
The principle is exactly the same. I want to do it, so I'm going to do it, because I can. The impact on others doesn't matter. It's called being selfish.

And it's a greenhouse growing food that's out of season. How about growing crops that can thrive in an unheated greenhouse? Fresh greens?
December 15, 2025 at 5:58 PM
As the article says, they use a lot of energy to keep the greenhouses warm. I'm not sure that damaging the planet is really a legitimate "personal choice". Should a billionaire be allowed to fly a personal jet 5000 miles for lunch, because because he wants to?
December 15, 2025 at 5:33 PM
What's wrong with eating food when it's in season? Why demand strawberries in December? And even with LED bulbs, there is still a hefty cost for those massive greenhouses and all the equipment.

Disabling a submarine is good, obviously. What is potentially more damaging is the impact on Russian morale and logistics. If they can blow up a submarine moored in dock, where is safe? Everywhere is a target. Putin will have to invest money and resources in increasing security everywhere.

All jolly good, I know, but, as a non-Londoner, and, given the general reputation that the Met has for wrongful arrests, violence, treating peaceful protesters as trrrrists, and general wrongdoing, I'm afraid that seeing a lot of cops on the street would NOT make me feel safer.
December 15, 2025 at 2:23 PM
Underpants? UNDERPANTS? You lucky, lucky bastards! Most of us DREAM of owning a pair of underpants. We have to survive with a couple of extra dock leaves* under the britches to keep the skid-marks away.

* and it's no fun if you accidentally include a few nettles in with them

But who is in group 2 depends on the influencee

Some people choose to follow & be influenced by Farridge/Trump etc. Neither follower or followee could honestly be termed 'wise'

Both groups may actually 'influence' - but they influence different sorts of influencee. The gullible, and the sensible
December 15, 2025 at 12:51 PM
We need to differentiate between people who like to call themselves "influencers", and those who ARE influencers

The former includes those with lots of followers who get paid (or wish they got paid).

The latter is wise(?) people you respect & choose to follow

Fingers crossed. It was a bit odd.

I have the Gaviscon ready.
December 15, 2025 at 12:20 AM
Have they not heard of Zoom/Teams etc?
December 15, 2025 at 12:06 AM
Fingers crossed they don't get a stray pig on the track.

Chileans are great fans of the Leopards eating other peoples faces party.

I didn't wake up until 1.30! Sleep patterns are a bit shot at the moment.

Really strange and ignorant headline. Modern Australia has been created by 250 years of mass immigration. Yep, mass immigration has really transformed Australia. If it hadn't, the population and land today would be very, very different.

Just like USA really.
