No wonder I thought something was wrong with me, growing up.

My son got his hair cut. I told him he now had Action Man hair. He didn't get the reference so now I've ended up going down a weird Internet wormhole, being reminded how odd Action Man was.

I felt really motivated and empowered after reading this for some reason.

Great humour and character in this photo by Clodagh O'Leary, Never Be Without Your Horse.

And my favourite I think: Blues by Miseon Lee.

This painting reminded me of every boy my kids have ever played with. The Boys by Ian Cumberland.

This was part of the selection listed for the portrait prize.I liked it a lot. It's called In Deep Thought and is by Michael Ryan, age 10.

I took this crap photo about five minutes after leaving the National Gallery and saying that photography was easier than painting.

Alan Byrne. Psycho. Was my favourite Bohs player at the time. I remember him winding up Mark Hughes when Bohs played a friendly v Man Utd.

Reading old football programmes. I bought this one from 1991 at a programme fair. It caught my eye as I was at the game. On the cover is Liam Dunne, who signed for St Johnstone shortly afterwards iirc (was the friendly part of the transfer deal?).

Bohs won, I think?

I worry about Stuart Lee getting a chest cold if he is wearing one of his deep V-neck overcoats in this weather.

Some Turkish delight to bring home for the family – lemon, rose, hazelnut and cocoa.

Duffle weather.

I'm keen to try some adjaruli khachapuri, a sort of boat-shaped pizza with egg and cheese.

With apologies to those whose yoga classes were disrupted by the 1916 Rising, Bolands Mills is back open again.

And this classic.

Also found this photo from about eight years ago of my kids doing my hair.

Searching through old photos on my phone, found this extremely rare photo of my dad with his siblings. My dad is second from the right at the back. My uncle Tommy in the middle with the glasses is the only one still alive.
