Yes Bubble Bobble on Atari ST was really good, well made in terms of graphics and gameplay.

Well it looks like I missed it.
I bought this game in 1995. It was an interesting sci-fi adventure game that looks like an action game, with pre-rendered scenes with fixed camera, and real time 3D characters only. Lots of story and reading if you wanted to. Pretty ambitious game.

If you say DON'T do that, DON'T do that, people are not necessarily interested to follow the advice but if it's a contrarian opinion and they want to find out why.
It is pure engagement, it has little to do with actual development.

I'd say no less than $20 for sure, but not necessarily much more either. Between $20 and $25.

So I made the smallest game I could.

This is sapito, a tiny daily classic roguelike, with a new level every day. Super simple, but finished! My plan is to keep updating it over time.

Pixel art by @datagoblin.bsky.social and the whole game is inspired by 1 of their mockups.

That's one more added to the collection of Nitrome thematic intros.

It's strange that no one is talking or asking, why they didn't post a video of the new intro?

Amazing game.

I find that if focus on my main topic, for me video game development (indie games in particular, whether what I do and what other people do), there is some engagement and some nice interactions.
If I step out of it, I get nothing.

In other games, it means having to affect a mechanic in ways that are risky, like change core values that were not meant to be changed, causing new bugs...
But it can be solved if easy mode is integrated in the design and testing process from the ground up.
