The greatest thing Bill Clinton could do right now is just deny Trump fellated him, and then turn around and say "But I have been known to lie about these sorts of things."

Like seriously. How profitable could this stuff really be? We used to have the history channel. It was basically WW2 porn for years. Now it's just endless "ancient aliens." CBS/NBC/Abc have the market cornered on basic ass tv drama. I don't think there's an audience for what they want to produce.

And that clown ended up prosecuting the one guy on the planet that cheyney saw as the archetype for the National. Security statesman. Holy fuck that is kinda funny because Bolton is trash and also super guilty

It's so funny that student loan forgiveness is considered so radioactive. What the hell do people think motivate young people?

A lot of politics is very abstract. This is a picture that lots of people can relate to.

It's wild that they went from "we're here to protect women in sports" to this

South Texas is dotted with informal, substandard settlements that are called colonias. They usually don't have sewer or running water. They are seen as extremely exploitative. Weird that state law could actually forbid them and nothing is done about it?

I may be jaded, but what are the chances this one pulls a fetterman?

Decades ago, i worked in politics in an urban environment where "walking around money" was pretty common. We ended up distributing cash to a lot of people, maybe 50 to 100? The line was huge, because there was real record keeping. There's no way handing out cash could fly under the radar.

Like, where are the paystubs? If they are handing out cash, surely there is a place people go for the cash? It's all so implausible.

In this case though you can't say "the grand jury is meeting to indict" and also claim that you don't know that is grand jury material. It's likely an illegal leak, but these types of leaks have been going on forever.
October 9, 2025 at 10:01 PM
Grand jury proceedings can become public. Generally, prosecutors involved aren't allowed to say anything about them except to their boss. There's a circuitous route the info can travel so the leaker doesn't have direct knowledge that it is GJ material. But this kind of leak rules that out.

This is a way of saying that other countries have leverage. Master strategists here.

I was a poli sci major and former journo. I absolutely hated doing political reporting. Too predictable and I missed a few stories because I was. There's a real strength in being surprised and being able to learn and translate that to the public.

The other side is like "yeah but did you hear how Ezra Klein refused to diagnose the problems in political communication and punditry in precisely the way I see it, which is totally obvious to anyone with a graduate degree."

Oh man. I wonder if this is a fucked up facial recognition thin.

All this stuff traces back to skinhead days in the late 80s, early 90s. The reason these guys are so concerned about Antifa is because there is a direct line between proud boys/ active clubs and racist skins. They even wear the same clothes. (Fred Perry shorts)
