i was racking my brain on how to fake low poly volumetric lights. i figured out how to combine the front face fresnel + back face inverted fresnel. the material is double sided to save vertices.
basically softens the edges of the cone with parameters.

SSAO + Lens Flares only works with Forward + Depth Source.
Depth Normals doesnt seem to calculate properly.

spent today not much coding but trying around different stuff for lights. lens flares didn't work on webgl because of some bugs. light shafts looked ok. multiple point lights seem performant enough on webgl.

Noticed that doodads are too centered and the player just walks along the room edges. Adjusting parameters based on room sizes they try to spawn in.

nvidia driving is not properly sending the correct active signal resolution to my monitor... it keeps sending 4k no matter what I pick. so it's capping the refresh rate to 60. this is so annoying
