I try to always assume good faith - people don't know what they don't know - but where proven otherwise I'm simply not here for it.

My politeness levels vary over on this matter. Mamdani, for example was all over alt text until elected. I'm assuming he has someone who manages his account now and they've stopped alt entirely. People, myself included, have been asking nicely over and over, but now I am blunt as fuck about it.
There are folks who are sick of having to ask for accessibility in various different areas over and over and over and still not getting it or getting ridiculous pushback or getting it half-assed and who have very little patience.
I think folks need to understand that Disabled people who pay attention to accessibility (and the lack of it) in multiple areas of life already know where it goes when we're not supposed to ask for better accessibility from folks who "mean well".

Still don't know where the tickets came from as we can't find any email messages just the text with the tickets and they are really really good seats (which isn't normal for a giveaway). We are so baffled by these mysterious tickets.
My husband got a random text with links and like an idiot he opened them but they turned out to be two tickets to Twenty Sided Tavern this month! We entered a raffle at our local game store last month so we assume that's where they came from but it would have been nice if we had gotten an email 😅

I don't care if a non-disabled person accesses a disability accommodation for the same reason I don't care if a child whose parents are rich gets free lunch at school. We don't need to means test being a kind person. I have better things to do with my time than be a cop over social services.
