To expand on what I said above: spending government funds on something like public broadcasting, which benefits nearly every American in some way, is obviously detrimental when those funds could be used to extend the 2017 tax cuts for the top 1%. That said, PBS is merely a drop in the bucket.

To be fair, Mr. Kinzinger, President Trump has been fully focused on pushing his Big Beautiful Bill across the finish line before his self-imposed deadline of July 4th.

So, Russian sanctions can wait: he, I, and other rich Republicans need our damn tax cut ASAP!

Which begs the question: if the Supreme Court keeps nullifying the very document that gives the Supreme Court its authority, why should anyone recognize the authority of the Supreme Court?

I was actually ridiculed by (some) of my shipmates in the Navy for my “book larnin’”. Anti-intellectualism has a long & shameful history in America. Isaac Asimov captured the attitude perfectly: “‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’” He said this decades before social media.
