Someone is claiming that the third party event company Square Enix is using for the #FFXIV NA Fan Fest has not dealt with ADA before.
If true, this will be another shining example of Square Enix not hiring the right people for the job. I hope this isn't a repeat of '23 waiting to happen.

I don't want a witch hunt of the frontline worker at the 3rd party event planning company SQUEX hired to run this, she's someone who has never had to do this before- but that's exactly the problem- cons like PAX or NYCC have dedicated ADA teams. This event staffing hasn't dealt with that. 5/6

Wrote into a podcast with a suggestion, guested a few times, then was asked to help with a new show before splitting off and doing my own site and podcast for FFXI.
Also- hated retail and a friend said they needed letterers, took a test, passed, and the rest is history (and a lot of lettered pages)

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."
There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
