the big guy (Strix) DID originally owe him money when Book ran independently, but then used the situation to coerce him into working for him, making him a part of Ninox :'> So Strix is indeed his boss!

I do think so yes... i see it as layered to allow for swelling 👀 with maybe the texture on the inside of the corsetting being an exposed layer beneath... maybe more sensitive
