Two things are clear tonight. 1) we will see more R retirements, and 2) smart people are going to think twice about thinning out R districts to pick up more R seats in the house.

I can dream that this means Dems could have the numbers to do huge things - healthcare, affordable education, voting rights, end corporate money…but my fear is they will just not do these things and the pendulum will continue to swing.

Lottery’s are gimmicks. They are not an affordable housing solution. They just represent how much we need to build more housing. Basic things like food and shelter should not require a lottery win.
