My favorite bookstore in San Francisco. It always feels magical to go inside there and look around.

Jane Goodall was my first childhood hero, as I loved animals as a kid and was inspired by her story. I still remember the National Geographic specials about her. RIP.

Probably the only mural ever painted by Frida Kahlo, as seen on the kitchen walls of her family's red house, c. 1938. "El mesón de los gorriones" (Sparrow's Inn). The home is now Museo Casa Kahlo.

Kamala Harris: He had no plan for actually bringing down costs and prices for the American people. He had very few plans for what he would actually do that was about the American people, and not his vengeance on his enemies.

Let’s do it! Yes on Prop 50.
I support our CA Gov. Gavin Newsom @governor.ca.gov & his plan the Election Rigging Response Act (Prop 50) to stop felon & Texas GOP’s gerrymandering scheme!!! CA’s proposed map would only go into effect if TX or another R state changes their maps to add R seats & would remain in effect until 2031!

These are desperate times. Yes on Prop 50!
Newsom: We got here because the President is struggling. We got here because the President is one of the most unpopular presidents in U.S. history. We got here because he recognizes that he will lose the election.

Echo and Narcissus by John William Waterhouse, 1903, is the story of a man in love with himself and where the woman infatuated with him can repeat only the last three words he says. Oddly, that's what is happening today in America with all those women who drank the Kool-Aid.

My grandmother gave birth to twin baby girls in the internment camps and they died. Horrible living conditions. Desert winds and dust. Toilets with no doors. Constant fear of being starved to death. She hoarded bread. Moldy bread.
When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.
