This image on another post got me thinking about why the UK is apparently so poor at infrastructure projects

This might not accord with conventional theory but it's mine.

It has a lot to do with experience - experience at all levels and age.

Blimey...............what will Trump make of this ??

Good to know.............although the reasons why US media organisations folded in apparently similar situations are in no way comparable.

Stop the Boats

Am I just too practical ?

It seems to me that there must be substantial boat manufacturing facilities in France or nearby.

These are large craft specifically designed for the job, not leisure boats

Can we not find a way of forbidding the building / storage / ownership of them??

Agreed ......once on a superhighway - now in the middle of nowhere.

The builders knew what they were creating - something beautiful

Seen on yesterday's walk

New Bridge over River Nidd - 1822

Coursed squared gritstone, paved with river cobbles

Arch carries the 2-metre wide causeway over a span of approximately 20 metres

The bridge stands on the pack-horse track from Otley to Ripon

Apparently there is a petition running regarding the BBC and Trump - I'd be up for signing that.
Anyone know which one it is? - I have found one, but the signatories are not that high, and I don't want to waste a vote

Rusbridger as usual hit the nail squarely on the head.

Starmer needs to get involved seriously and quickly - without his intervention much will be lost playing exactly on the hands of the "populists"

Has anyone told him about this?

His comments are fiscally naïve - and that's being generous
