The way that we do this in neuroimaging (with 3D brains), is to just to have 3 different views of the same plot but highlighting 2 dimensions at a time. You can't see everything in one plot, but you can as a whole.
Folks do the same thing with the results of 3D multidimensional scaling solutions.

I've never taught personality here, but FWIW, I think everyone has been using The Personality Puzzle by Funder textbook since I've been here.
