A good rule of thumb for arguments against votes at 16 is "did they make this argument about women: if so, disregard the argument". And once you do that there isn't much left.
Intriguing to hear so many of the objections to votes at 16 today. Consciously or otherwise, so many are exactly the dame arguments which were used about every single extension of the franchise since the 19th century.
They don’t want it! They can’t handle it! They won’t use it! They’ll abuse it!
