@sarahwoodberrydown.bsky.social hi- FYI the Chatsworth Road camera has been knocked off angle (it's now pointing at the sky) - there's an adjacent cctv camera on Clifden Road so probably possible to identify the vandals that did it.

Middleton Road, on C27 , sees 75%+ movement by two wheelers with very low traffic levels, as you can see in the data. Is there any appetite for pushing the envelope among Cllrs and officers in @hackneycouncil.bsky.social , @sarahwoodberrydown.bsky.social ?

This is the profile of Middleton Road in Hackney - ideal candidate, IMHO

Whenever I hear Gvt ministers talk about "deregulation" I think of these guys (and Loach's "riff-raff"). Shall we go back to the 70s, when gangmasters could throw up shitty buildings however they liked, and workers routinely fell to their deaths? Or do we try to prevent that through H&S regulation?

Bloody cyclists on the pavement again

We absolutely must avoid forever baking in the storage of massive cars on our streets. Ever wondered why pictures of old streets has them looking so wide? It's cos they're not lined bumper to bumper with 2-ton SUVs. spitalfieldslife.com/wp-content/u...

Absolutely staggering entitlement (or at best extremely disregard for others) of some drivers never ceases to shock. This guy has parked directly across the crossing, blocking the dropped kerb

There was never any traffic in Hackney before these bloody LTNs... (Stoke Newington High Street in the 1980s)

You can barely see my six year old over the bonnet of this absolute monster. They have no place in our cities.

"I would go to the park with my kids so much more often if I didn't have to cross this [refacted] awful road like this" - direct quote. Having a motorway slip road outside your park is a terrible thing @hackneycouncil.bsky.social

Is this London's prettiest (and best) modal filter right now?

Without this cycle track and bus stop bypass, these three female cyclists would have had to cycle in the bus lane and then around the parked bus, with another bus behind them. Even if they completed that safely, the experience would be stressful enough to make them never cycle that trip again.

Here's the reality of virtually all BSBS: no interactions with any bus users, VI or not, because chances of paths crossing are vanishingly small... and safe conditions for women and girls (and everyone else!) to access local amenities by bicycle with zero fear or risk of being crushed to death.

Here's the actual reality of a bus stop bypass, at any given time, on any given day. No interactions, no danger to pedestrians, VI or otherwise... but my wife, sister-in-law and daughter can independently and safely access local amenities without fear or risk of being crushed to death.

Top end of York Way cycle track is open with a lovely bit of machine-rolled asphalt and brand new parallel crossing. Thanks @camdencouncil.bsky.social (& @islington-council.bsky.social)

Glorious cycle into London today, and amazing to see the Tollington place cycleway essentially at capacity on a cold day in March... @camdencyclists.bsky.social we're gonna need a longer green phase! Get lobbying 🙂

Cette argument "très peu utilisé" me fait penser à @tomflood et son image du pont pas trop fréquenté...🙂

Well done Thames Water for this* - this is how you do it.

*you are absolutely dreadful in just about every other respect

Top bit of cargo biking today on the Tern - to the park with the boy and then over to Library of Things to get a couple of tools for some spring DIY. "I got the tooools"

Street Fight seems an obvious choice for me; we're still seeing the same arguments/fears/concerns play out in London (everywhere?) over a decade later. Full of insight, best practice tips (ditch the "town hall meetings, guys), and a great story of what can be achieved.

Who are these beautiful women who follow me (blush - is it because I'm so erudite, or gosh... they find me attractive?), who are so interested in posting identical posts about Justin Trudeau? just can't work it out.... (But srsly, what are they FOR?!)
