So I bought FFT for the switch and I'm having to tell myself upfront to not do the things I did the last time I played FFT.

New recliner 😊 of course the pain started to go away yesterday… still a very comfortable chair and now I have a cozy spot to read or play my Switch. We no longer have a functional guest room but who wants visitors anyway 😛

@roane.bsky.social took me to a furniture store yesterday to see if recliners would help with my pain. Most did not, but I sat in one that took my pain down by 90% almost instantly. I didn't want to spend so much but the pain relief is worth it. I can't wait till it gets here on Friday 😊

The only games I actually owned for my Nintendo were Mario 1 (which I think came with the system?) and Mario 3. Anything else was either rented or borrowed from my brother’s friend.
I will add this and then I'm gonna shut up.
In the 90s, I got maybe 2-3 games per YEAR. 4 if I was lucky. We have different expectations now as gamers because of the availability, accessibility, FOMO, hype, etc. surrounding us. Games come and go QUICK.
I think we just normalized buying more games.

Another interesting discussion here, is that we used to have less games available then, and they weren't as easily obtained like today. We have digital storefronts, thousands of choices, some for cheap. We probably buy MORE games, because we're used to having more easy options to get them.
