I mean, not to be spoilerific, but Blanc's Damascus speech feels like him selling out the truth and his principles to enable acts of faith.

Yeah, the treatment of athiesm is where this film falls down for me. The athiest is there to make the faithful feel good about their beliefs.

But you're using the "you don't have to pay if you don't reach the threshold" in a conversation where people are discussing improving their economic standing. And that payback level is barely over half of the average salary.

I feel he met people where they were. When I interviewed him, we mostly talked about our dogs, and his fear of giving two reporters the same answer.
