A plea from an editor:

postdocs & grad students who want to review manuscripts, please (!) have an online presence with your current email. I try to solicit reviews from ECRs, but we all move a lot, and it's hard to know if we'll be able to reach you at the email address on your last paper 🧪🌍

A few thoughts on this important NYT analysis:

First, the officer who killed Good is shown running up the *passenger* side of the car seconds before he killed her. He shot her first from the front, then the driver's side. This means he *put himself* in the path of the vehicle when he shot her.
Video: Videos Contradict Trump Administration Account of ICE Shooting in Minneapolis
An analysis of footage from three camera angles shows that the motorist was driving away from — not toward — a federal officer when he opened fire.

I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

I wonder what what’s greater:

The number of people who don’t know that their mom had an abortion?

The number of people who don’t know that their genetic sex doesn’t align with their gender identity?

For the love of mammoths, if you're not going to review a manuscript please decline right away. Don't just ignore the reminders and then let the system auto-decline after two weeks.

Happy holidays to all who say "no" in a timely manner, and may those who suggest alternatives have a happy New Year.
