My dad fought fascism in WWII. I’m proud to be an anti-fascist & follow him today.
Be fucking resilient. Find another way. There’s always another way.
Here’s to the undying hope that Thomas Nast gave form: a Thanksgiving of universal love and respect in a world that values us all, in all our wonderful forms. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

We were raised in a time when fear of the masses, & its resultant boundaries of propriety & etiquette, kept us from fully grasping the truly feral character of the rich. That fear is gone. Nero’s time has come again. We are only shadows on a chessboard to such people. From Cory’s thread:

“…the brooding, violent racism of MAGA isn't so much a break with "Romney conservativism" of the "respectable" Republican Party as it is the attainment of the goals of the party's longstanding dominant tendency.”

OSINT Intuit later corrected the post to reflect it was Trump’s son-in-law (Kushner), not his son. Here’s the link to Reuters:

Gettysburg & the tour guides do a lot to include the Rebels in their remembrance honors, as if all dead were equal. But Lincoln’s address plainly specifies the Union soldiers & their sacrifice. It wasn’t the South’s “cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion” he was talking about.

“…even as (McDonald’s) chief executive sounded the alarm about the increasingly two-tiered economy.”
The Snowpiercer economy.

I still love The Crystal World. The thrill of horror when I read its first description of a living being becoming slowly encased in jewel-like stones is still fresh. And the cover of the first edition, though, faded, is still like looking at a dream.

“China was going to hit us with rare earth…”
Hearing him is like listening to somebody talking with a dog’s brain.

Hit us, China!

Under invasion by fascism and being sabotaged by cowardly Dems willing to collaborate, there are only 2 options: allow the party to keep building a Vichy “government”, or support our partisans who are fighting from the woods & purge the Dem Right to extinction.

I didn’t get a shot of the pre-6 a.m. Times front page, but after 6, they buried-BURIED-in the Business section the big front page news on Elon Musk’s new payday making him the world’s first trillionaire, with no link from the front page. The juxtaposition w/the SNAP was too much, even for them.
