I keep using the phrase "my tits are too nice for my life to be like this" in conversation like it's a common reference but I think it's from an Overheard In New York post like 12 years ago.

I strongly suspect Starmer is testing the water. He has to somehow reverse direction down the blind alley Brexit has led him down. The question is ... is he so far down that there is no turning?
Is Starmer finally blaming Brexit for the UK's ills?

Or is this more blaming the implementation of Brexit?
BREAKING:

“Policies were reformed deliberately to liberalise immigration. Brexit was used for that purpose, to turn Britain into a one nation experiment in open borders”

Sydney Uni students allowed to use AI in radical reversal of cheating policy
The plan, to be phased in next year, will mean students won’t be banned from using AI on homework or assignments.

When Donald Trump announced that he was appointing current FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr to be the next chair of the FCC, it was no surprise. Nor was it a surprise that Trump tried to play up that …

Got any old photos of penguin colonies?

These nerds want to map penguin colony changes over time so your old photos (especially ones on dead trees) may well help!

Snapshots from over the years could provide researchers with valuable data about how penguin colonies have shifted.

Yeah. I am very much on the verge of just blocking people who say "meh, the rule of law no longer matters" or "they're just going to do what they want" etc.

They can try, but accepting it as given, means giving up.

Stop trying to make everyone give up fighting for basic rights.
I am trying to be patient because I 100% get that people are terrified but I am really struggling with all this knee-jerk public defeatism from other liberals and leftists right now

this one easy trick will put a lot of black people into an early grave
Trump HHS nominee RFK Jr.:

If you give Black children “resilience” then “the inevitable racism” will “bounce off” them like they are “the Avengers” because “they will be immune to it” and “then we don’t have to stop racism altogether, because we’re never going to be able to do that.”

I'm interested in how sticky legal myths are.

A myth I spent a lot of time debunking was just retold in a law review article with a "but see" cite to my work. I'm delighted to be cited but I don't understand, why pick a myth to support a claim when there are plenty of accurate examples?
