This afternoon, Pope Leo met with met with 160 consecrated religious in the Synod Hall; they are in Rome participating in the 104th Assembly of the Union of General Superiors. Leo exhorted them to take advantage of the “extraordinary opportunities of technology, but not at the expense of people.”

In a new motu proprio, Pope Leo says the President of Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State is not only open to Cardinals but also the laity for a 5-year term. The position of President is currently held by Sister Raffaella Petrini. In doing so, Leo solidifies a change desired by Francis.
