Use search to find the feeds Alex mentions.
Go to "Home". Next to it you see three tabs: "Following"; "Discover"; "Popular with Friends".
Top right corner, there's a hashtag. Click it to add/amend feeds you see. There are MANY good ones. For now you want "Mentions" (mentions without likes etc.) & "Only Posts" (friend posts without replies).
