#WonderMan is excellent. One of the best MCU series by a wide margin. It’s funny, has excellent characters, and works because it is basically a comedy that happens to exist in a superhero world. I hope Marvel makes more Wonder Man and more shows like it.

As someone who went to see 2009’s Friday the 13th and Drag Me to Hell on opening day in high school, I had high hopes for Send Help and oh did it deliver. Raimi goes full Raimi and I had a blast! Can’t wait to see it again.

Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, Solo, The Mandalorian, Andor, and Skeleton Crew, are some of my favorite Star Wars stories ever and all happened during Kathleen Kennedy’s tenure as the head of Lucasfilm.
I have many great memories tied to this era of Star Wars, and a lot of it is because of her.

It is surreal to think The Force Awakens came out ten years ago. It is strange to think how much has changed around Star Wars since it came out. But you know what? The movie still rules. Loved it then, still love it today, will hopefully love it in another ten years.

This news is so awful I wanted to just go back to bed and not think about today.
Truly loving in the worst timeline right now.
We’re in a bold new era of soulless slop. Deeply unethical when it comes to art, labour, the environment, and the entertainment landscape at large.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss my grandma.
But this wouldn’t be her. It’s an algorithmic approximation of a person. It’s not really them so therefore it isn’t my grandma. This is downright offensive to think they can replace our loved ones and an absolute ghoulish headline.

I really wanted to like Ella McCay. I tried to meet it on every level, but the entire runtime I was left feeling baffled. It doesn’t work as a comedy or drama, and the entire film is a waste of very talented individuals. I was hoping for a James L. Brooks comeback but sadly a real whiff.

#AvatarFireandAsh is the Return of the Jedi of the Avatar series. Even if it falls slightly below it’s predecessors, it is still REALLY good with some incredibly powerful and emotionally resonate beats that got tears out of me. Awe inspiring visuals and filmmaking. I just love these movies so much.

Excellent piece about 2018's The Predator by @britthates.bsky.social

Think this movie still stands as one of the biggest disappointments I've had this past decade. I'm so glad The Predator franchise is back on track.
just launched my new weekly column at MovieWeb, Memory Holed – starting with a look back at why we memory-holed Shane Black's The Predator:
Memory Holed: 2018's 'The Predator' Was a Horribly Misguided Misfire
There's a reason you forgot Shane Black's sequel existed. Several reasons, actually.
