It's easy for them, and trump, to do a 180 on the issue when they know damn well that Bondi will refuse and, after months or years of litigation, SCROTUS will back her up in protecting their own benefactors as well as the Dear Leader.

That's ok. When it really matters, when prosecutions are possible, there are plenty of records of who these nazis are. They won't spend their whole careers in the safety of trump's colon. They'll be fired, they'll be identified, and they'll be prosecuted. It's a lot easier today than it was in 1945.
