What about the fighter pilot ordered to fly over the Epstein victims to intimidate them? Not illegal, but one would think that would provide a clear clue as to how the velociraptor is testing the fence and will demand worse in the future given that he got no pushback from them.

OTOH, maybe they'll just follow orders and slaughter civilians knowing full well that SCROTUS will condone it post-hoc. I guess that's a solution for their predicament I hadn't thought of. Crimes and terrorism become ok when SCROTUS blesses them. That may be the best solution for the dishonorable.

It was a hypothetical. It's no longer hypothetical. Do you not understand the difference? Plans are being defended in court to invade blue cities. Do you trust the 6 fascists on SCROTUS to uphold Posse Comitatus? I sure af don't. All that hypothetical is happening right now, with much more to come.

How what went down? The international terrorism? Doesn't matter how it went down. The ISIS death videos spoke for themselves. Those boats were no threat to us even if they were smuggling. Are you saying there could've been some question that they were defending us from Venezuelans? That's laughable.

What names did I call the ones not involved in war crimes? The worst thing I said was that the guys who joined cuz of trump are no better/worse than the ICE goons. I feel sorry for the ones stuck there. That doesn't mean I think they should dally around waiting to be turned into war criminals.

You're right. I'm not warning them, I'm just issuing a general warning. No. They don't understand the situation better than I do. They're in the soup. They're young, dumb and being fed bullshit 24/7. The officers understand and they gtfo even though they have far more to lose than an enlisted guy.

It's lose/lose for them. But it's a draw for us if they don't consent to being weapons of fascism trained on us. They can't completely save themselves, but they dont need to take us down with them. The honorable thing to do in the face of certain Constitutional violations and crimes is to resign.

I don't consider it dehumanizing to note that a 22yr old isn't gonna be a hero under pressure. It's not dehumanizing to state that they must decide to serve trump or their oath. Nor to call a fascist tool a fascist tool. It's trump and kegsbreath who dehumanizes them. I'm only warning them to gtfo

How many heroes? More than half? That's what it'll take for them to do anything. Otherwise, they'll just get chewed up and spit out. I imagine a lot of naval heroes figured that out off Venezuela. The only heroes would be the ppl who led an insurrection and dragged Donny into the street by his balls

Can't know what? Can't know trump will give them illegal orders? Yes we can. Can't know that SCROTUS will condone any sort of abuse that trump wants to subject us/them to? Yes we can. He's made his intentions clear and if there's anyplace on earth where heroes don't exist, it's SCROTUS.

I'm only judging the ones who enlisted because of trump. The others are unfortunate victims of bad timing. Things are diff than when you discussed this with your men. It was hypothetical then. Now, it's a certainty that they willl be commanded to commit war crimes. Makes the decision so much easier.

Hell yeah they are. You could go a lifetime living next to a pedo without ever knowing it. Try that with a magat. A pedo is bad by virtue of his actions. A magat is bad by virtue of his morality, character and decision to be a magat. Pedos didn't choose to be pedos. Magats have no such excuses.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't feel any better about standing in front of a formation knowing that there's a "hero" or two in there.
Where were the heroes when they droned boats? Are they only heroes when American lives are at stake? Who's objecting to the plans to send them into cities?

Not prejudging a lot of people. Like you said, it only takes a few. The rest will get swept up and be without excuse. The alternative is some kind of civil war within the military. That can't be good either.

Hell yes, it's a heavy decision. But is it any heavier than the decision you'll have to make whether or not to shoot some protestors or petty criminals? There is no limit to the degree of abuse he's going to subject us to through the military. Jump into the coals now or into the pit of hell later.

Both are subject to being made into weapons of abuse and are being made the enemy of democracy. Other than more professional training and fitness stds, I see little difference

Not a matter of not understanding their duty. It's a matter of having the brass to refuse an illegal order amid shooting and chaos. How many involved in war crimes off Venezuela saw the conflict between their oaths and an order? There's a start. I'm pretty sure the ICE goons swore an oath too.

Once again, you can't uphold an oath to the Constitution as you consent to being used as a tool to undermine the Constitution. I get the ramifications of resignation. I think they're less severe than refusing an illegal order and having to wait until your case is processed to (maybe) clear your name

Again, you can't remain apolitical in the face of fascism and still uphold your oath to the Constitution. That oath trumps any obligation to be apolitical. They're being turned into ideological Orcs, with Fox/Newsmax pumped into their heads.

I saw it. I also saw a long list of fired officers. They weren't replaced by honorable men. What I didn't see is any of those officers stand up and walk out of the room, although I did hear there was one. But you tell me. How many would act differently than the Naval cmdr who droned fishing boats?

If they enlisted under trump, they have no excuse. They knew who he was. We all did. I only feel empathy for the ones already stuck there by Jan. The rest are no diff than the ICE goons who joined the gestapo last week. They think they're protecting us too. But they're really just tools.
