My Space Quest site, Roger Wilco's Virtual Broomcloset, launched 30 years ago this month. That makes it one of the oldest video game fan sites on the web.
To celebrate the milestone, I've updated the site for the first time in ages with tons of new content. Check it out! wiw.org/~jess/roger.html

for some reason back in 2017, I decided to make a website to make fake video game screenshots. This was a good idea and made a lot of people laugh.
Here's to the Death Generator, eight years and 270ish games later!

Can folks do me a favor?
I was on Bluesky early & it was great. Mostly. I hit the eject button in January.
I came back, many colleagues are here, but still don’t know I am.
I co-created Halt and Catch Fire. I write TV & comics.
Here’s two favorite set photos.

I've been bedridden for the last 7 months, unable to work, and now my roommate who was covering rent is having tax issues. I need to raise a few thousand dollars to cover rent and bills for this month, so If you could send a couple dollars, it'd really help. Thanks so much.

Quick shoutout to @mossmouth.bsky.social's Spelunky HD, with its silky smooth "AdLib+" style sound.
It was actually the soundtrack that drew me to the game, flicking thru XBLA on the 360 in the day. Imagine my delight when the gameplay had a similarly old school vibe!
10/10 would spelunk again!

If I had a penny for every @foone.bsky.social Tumblr post I've seen in an Instagram reel today, I'd have 3 cents.
Which isn't much, but still more than I expected!

"Yo, hear me out. What if Arthas loses it, right? Finds out Stratholme's about to go bad, so he’s like, 'Screw it,' and starts murkin' his own people before they turn. Wicked dark. I told Matty and he goes, 'That's some real tragic hero shit.' I’m like, exactly. That’s the move."

Stumbled across a @lgr-yt.bsky.social video while researching a repair, seems we have similar taste 😎
My cab is somewhat similar to LGR's Dynamo, but built by Aussie arcade giant LAI.
I have the common squealing audio problem, waiting for a replacement HB-45A hybrid module to fix it.
Great game

Calling X68000 nerds! I'm trying to locate schematics for my ACE HD, and am stuck.
In particular, I'm trying to establish which parts could be using the 68K's bus mastering feature, and asserting the bus req/ack pins.
