Try to beat it straight through. It's pretty tough if you're playing like it was meant to be played and not using save stages through an emulator. But once you get it down, you can beat it on a single life.

When you actually see Mitsuyoshi singing it you realize why it sticks with you. The guy is singing his heart out and loving every second of it. It makes the song so much fun and memorable.
