Yesterday, I was honored to speak to Philadelphia City Council about my efforts in the General Assembly to end human trafficking in PA. Together we can do great things, and I’m truly honored to work with Councilmember Nina Ahmad on these efforts.

Now more than ever we have to look out for our most vulnerable, so over $40 million to address food insecurity will go a long way.

I'm full of GRATITUDE today that we finally have a #PaBudget! First off, I'm glad that we have a $750,000 increase in human trafficking enforcement & prevention. This aligns with my work in the #PaHouse to #EndHumanTrafficking with increased awareness and training for lodging employees.

I hope you can find it in your heart to donate during our Diaper Drive. You can drop off donations of new diapers, formula, or wipes thru Dec. 12 at my SW Philly office, Sen. Kearney's office in Media, & the Ridley Area YMCA. Your consideration will mean so much to our families in need this season.

The shutdown in DC will disproportionately harm Philly & Delco children, seniors, and working families. SNAP payments will be delayed in November and now LIHEAP will have a late start date on Dec. 3. Reach out to your utility providers for payment options if you have trouble making your bills.
