We’re here at the Philabundance Community Kitchen making meals to help combat the food insecurity many are feeling this holiday season. Our team will continue to work with food distribution organizations around the city to make sure we’re combating hunger in this time of need.

Al Schmid, a Marine veteran from Philadelphia, demonstrated extraordinary bravery during the Guadalcanal campaign in WWII, earning both the Navy Cross and Purple Heart. We honor his sacrifice and service with the dedication of this bell in his memory.

It’s clear Republicans in D.C. can’t get the job done. Just like SNAP, heating assistance through LIHEAP has now been shut off. I’m working with our local utilities and my colleagues in Harrisburg to make sure we’re here to help our neighbors!
