aaa I haven't done anything original except for school in a LONG time but as I've gotten older and come to understand my identity more my writing has gotten increasingly aro, I don't have anything very recent but I have a couple links and some screenshots of stuff I haven't edited yet if you'd like!

arospecs have such a fascinating way of thinking about the world and they have so much to offer anyone willing to listen. I wish more people wanted to listen

more stories (especially for adults) that are about friends, about family, about community would be great. but for a lot of people (myself included) those don't suffice, or feel wrong, for our non-romantic "ways of being." I wish more people cared about trying to understand that through their work

I think this is endemic to a lot of writing wrt marginalized "ways of being" but it always sucks to see. I wish I could see more people asking the question of what it looks and feels like to yearn, love, and bond without anything to tether yourself to. to be given a name and to be repulsed by it

#hsrtweeting #hsrspoilers 3.7 ⚠️ "our" enemy is lycurgus, who sees the story, and the characters, for what they physically are: data. in defying him, by continuing to engage with the story, "we" defy the very idea that stories are meaningless. "we" choose, again and again, to log in. to find meaning

#hsrtweeting #hsrspoilers 3.7 ⚠️ I think how amphoreus approaches this topic is especially effective because you must treasure the unreal to fully embrace what the story is telling you. these characters are, textually and metatextually, data—they don't suddenly "become real."

#hsrtweeting #hsrspoilers 3.7 ⚠️ when the text has finished and the book has closed, a story begins anew with each reader, and though the events never change, their meaning does—with each and every person who reads (and thinks) (and breathes) (and cyrene's right, that IS romantic)

#hsrtweeting #hsrspoilers 3.7 ⚠️ why does cyrene love "us" so much? because every story (and writer) loves a sincere reader, and every sincere writer (and reader) loves the characters of their stories. why does cyrene invite "us" into authorship? because no story is complete without a reader

#hsrtweeting #hsrspoilers 3.7 ⚠️ and I'm ultimately forgiving of (and honestly delighted with) an arc that largely prioritizes her relationship with the player because she serves as both a culmination of those desires (from the game's devs to its players) and an allegorical representation of them
