Lil B has been around for a while. Never quite mainstream, but he had a strong following in the late aughts. He doesn't really write, but he puts out record after record after record. He's extremely prolific.

I don't really listen to Armand Hammer, but they make interesting music. There's people who swear by their music, but I don't worship at that altar.

As for good & terrible... I can't understand what folks get out of a Lil B. I just... It's a bit of a car crash, but his fandom is fascinating.

So when "Dawson's Spacestation" comes out, I hope it's as good as it has every right to be, & I hope that the people who will go out of their way to shit on it without watching it are ignored. Live Long & Prosper...

Star Trek has always been political, & it always will be, but what's more... Star Trek has always been for EVERYONE. Adaptive technology for those of us with different abilities. Explicitly anti-racist in casting & story telling. Anti-War, Anti-colonial; explorationist, not isolationist...

The reason these franchises have continued on is that they've built worlds to explore. You can tell the politics of an early/ pre-utopia, i.e. the Bell Riots, or the gene editing of Khan Noonian Singh. You can ask the big questions, like what does it mean to be human, i.e. Data & Spock...

Because let's be real... Star Trek has found some of it's best footing in interpersonal soap opera. Kira & Odo. Dax & Worf. Tchakotay & Janeway. Crusher & Picard. Star Trek (& Star Wars, nerds!) is the foundation upon which we build these much more personal stories. Or the political stories, etc.

Why they let that girl be out there like that? That's messed up...

Pastor, there's a whole book in the bible about the joys & wonders of sex & romance. It's a whole book that basically says God loves smut like everybody else. I have never heard a pastor preach it, so I doubt the congregation knows what's in there...
