That’s wonderful!

It still happens. We know people using 2.5-5 mg dose that had gastropresis issues. That’s why the trial is so strict with exclusionary criteria to eliminate people with history of pancreatitis and GI issues. Although people we know didn’t have a history of GI issues before using GLP-1s.

I hope things have improved for you since.

That’s great you have a good Dr! Not all doctors understand the risks though and are dismissive about concerns. We know this from first hand experience.

People do need to be careful with these drugs as it affects the GI system. We know folks who have gotten gastroparesis (sp?) on it as well as other pancreas issues. That’s probably why the trial exclusion criteria are so strict.

Interesting they are tying participation to a blood antigen test when not everyone with LC returns a positive result. Yet they do with a stool test.

Good luck with it all. I too would not be happy if I didn’t get my lab results to review to prep for an appt.

When did labcorp start doing that? Or is a setting the doctor’s office enabled?

Because I know what it is like to have your life turned upside down because of long covid and I don’t wish that on anyone.

Stress can not just affect your immune system (thank you for sharing it does) but also over time affects our nervous system and we can end up in a chronic functional freeze or even a freeze as a result!

Continuing to build safety with your body is key to keeping the nervous system out of overwhelm

What about folks who have lost their jobs - what is their confidence in finding a new position and being able to afford increased costs of things including health insurance skyrocketing?

I’m interested in chatting with your broker. Could you please DM the contact info. Haven’t had luck on my own or the few I have talked to.

Would love to understand the reason behind the exclusion criteria of “a history of pancreatitis.” Is it possible to share? I ask bc so many doctors say regarding GLP-1 drugs that it doesn’t matter and that’s concerning.

Anytime you push yourself that is a chronic functional freeze. Movement should be there naturally. If we have to push ourselves to move that is because of our stored trauma.

They are doing it from a place of I don’t feel like I’m good enough. I have to achieve, I have to perform. I have to figure out how to keep pushing myself.
