Got prescription safety glasses for work

I'm so used to the high index glass, getting the polycarbonate lenses and seeing how ridiculously thick my prescription is sent me reeling

Here is a video of a frozen creek that had begun to thaw, and the water was flowing beneath the thin ice on top. I took this because it was soothing and wonderfully bloopy and I wanted to listen to it for hours. You are all welcome to enjoy it, too. Let your brain settle here and rest for a moment.

Spent the night before my birthday making drinks and having fascinating discussions with people I've never met before at a party I got a last minute invite to.

AKA the best day, the most fun day

I love making things and having wonderful conversations

Machining some shiny new gifts! I'm engraving the names of the recipients onto them as well. Fun to design and to make! Unfinished pictures only, so I don't spoil the surprise

The gifts I made are done! I'm packing them up now! Pictures coming after they're handed out so I don't spoil the surprise

While Amazon is investing billions of dollars to expand AI, independent bookstores are hosting community events, personally recommending books to readers, and providing a space that is safe and welcoming during a time when we need them most.

Never underestimate the power of a local bookstore.

I work in manufacturing
We're in the middle of the steepest decline in workers pay and quality of life, in a century. From the 50s to now blue collar workers have lost 70% of their livelihood.

These people cosplay as us but the only thing they're building is wage slavery.
Fucking incredible dystopian shit, comparing super rich people risking millions if not billions of lives just to make more money to people that risked their life actually building incredible things that would then make millions of dollars for super rich people.

Reading is life
“Why are folks getting dumber?” Because they don’t read. “Why aren’t men as romantic & poetic as they used to be?” Because they don’t read. “Why are people so vulnerable to propaganda?” “Why is everyone a conspiracy theorist?” Because they don’t read. Because they don’t read.

It's #portfolioday! I'm presently a senior narrative designer at Blizzard, but before that I was at Bungie and Arkane. I wrote for the Writer's Guild award-nominated Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and a bunch of critically acclaimed seasons and expansions in Destiny 2.

Just yesterday someone was nitpicking how I described my own painting, which is the cornerstone of my science art, in an attempt to be funny (I think?). But it was never funny or clever. It was just exhausting, confusing, and annoying. “I like this!” is one of the highest compliments, promise!
