Felt like drawing one of my old characters, Maya (a character and species I made back in like 2018) and my sona Rego. :D

I got a lot of old characters that I really should draw some more. I should also draw more of her species since I like em so much.

A rough drawing in which there are two characters. My sona Rego (a crow) stands on the right, while Maya (a species I created) stands on the left. Below is a description of Maya's species. You can skip it if you don't want to read/listen through it all. it's rather long winded. Maya is a Bathanian. It is a species I made many years ago, though have somewhat neglected. They are on average around 7-9 feet tall, are rather thin with some variation, have long necks, and their heads are mostly a boney structure with one or more cartilaginous structures that protrude from the tops/sides/backs of the head. Their head shapes are somewhat rounded with a sort of flat "beak" that is somewhat reminiscent of a toucan's beak, though it is taller and mostly a thin structure. There are multiple vertical openings on either side, along with an opening along the curve of the "jaw." The "beak" is hollow, and if you viewed it from the bottom it looks like a mask that is open from the bottom. They have a mouth where you would expect it on the primary structure of the head. Both the vertical openings, and the one along the "jaw" lead to the interior just as the bottom does. The eye-like structures are actually empty eye sockets that have a persistent blackness that obscures your ability to see into them. There is a "pupil" in either "eye" that can change shape to reflect mood (I was so original back then.) Maya serves as the baseline of the species. She has no unique coloration (greyish skin, yellowish bone, white "pupils", etc) She has two cartilaginous "hair things" that come from the rear of either side of her head. If you read/listened through that whole thing, I commend you. You get +1 digital cookie. Good job <3

Got a lil something in the works. Not sure how long it'll take, but it's gonna be a bit cause I'm going to try out a few different things.

A sketch of an incredibly homosexual anthro character. He is a canine of some variety. he wears shorts, a relatively loose fitting top, and some sort of neck accessory that I can't tell what it is. Is it an ascot, a very small scarf? No idea. It's just small and looked nice when I originally made him. He looks at you with a smug expression as he leans back on some sort of solid thing, likely a bar (represented entirely by one rough line,) with his arms resting on it. On the 'canine of some variety' comment. Aside from some specific circumstances, when I draw an anthro character I rarely think of the exact species. I tend to go with a rough approximation of a type. Avian, canine, vulpine, etc. Like, Vince is canine, but that's about all there is to it. He's not a dog, maybe a wolf, maybe something else. It's never specific.

I'm totally going to show my age. My introduction to the battletech universe was MA and MA2 lone wolf. Sooooo battle armor. Even if it's technically not really a mech.

As a side note, the reason I made my pixel art look so rough is I'm emulating a specific aesthetic I've only really seen in some really REALLY old art done in the late 80s or around then. I can't recall exactly when to be frank, but I never see anyone do pixel art like that. Not everything needs to be perfect, and often times I find the pieces, pixel art or not, that I like most are those that have imperfections.

Been a while since I've drawn a proper #monster, so here's a nice lady. Was supposed to be a sketch, but I got a bit carried away.

Do...do I mark it as graphic? I'm sure someone out there would find this uncomfortable to look at. I'll err on the side of caution. Take care folks <3
A female monster sitting. The skin from the shoulders up, along with the midsection, is missing. The missing skin reveals masses of black worms. You can reason that beneath the remaining skin she is comprised mostly of these worms. She is mostly humanoid, but her head is a skull. The skull has many jagged points at the top. It has five openings on the front. Two larger eye sockets, two smaller just above those, and a central opening above and between the smaller two. There is a sort of 'snout' on the front of the skull. It is comprised of four spike-like structures. Each of the 'spikes' curve near the ends. The top curve downward, and the bottom curve upward. They are lined with sharp tooth like structures. Each of the four parts of the snout are independent and lack any actual connection to one another. On her head there are more worms, mostly emanating from the rear of her head similar to hair. There are however a few others that don't. There are a couple worms that come from either of the larger eye sockets and go into the smaller sockets. There are also two small worms attached to the lower jaw pieces, one each. Her eyes have small yellow points that mimic a pupil which glow. Other details include the fact that where the top of her breasts connect to her torso it appears as though the skin is heavily scarred. There is one worm that partially wraps around her arm from behind. She lacks a hand, or anything from the lower portion of the thigh. (it started as a sketch so I really only took it as far as I felt like. To be frank, there are a lot of issues with this drawing. The perspective of the head is off really badly, some shapes are poorly done, and there was absolutely no attempt to really keep the drawing 'clean.' I just went till I felt I completed some sort of drawing. Nevertheless, I do like this girl, so I may draw her again with more effort at some point in the future.) Holy hell I actually am at the character limit!

Can you see where I messed up?
Construction of the wall was suspended at some point and I didn't notice when I tested the waterfall.
This fort was a string of weirdness, and ultimately was the shortest lived fort I've had at just over a year.
A screenshot of dwarf fortress. In the screenshot there are a number of rooms and halls. It is a living quarters that is flooded due to a single wall not being constructed next to a waterfall. The wall not being constructed was due to the construction being suspended at some point. I don't know why it was suspended, but it could have been a person was in the way, or an object. Constructions in dwarf fortress don't auto resume, you have to manually resume them. I was putting up that wall because I was going to test the waterfall and I needed to make sure that if the flow rate was too much for the channel, it wouldn't flood the fort. Well, the flow rate was indeed too much for it, and the fort did in fact flood. There are about a dozen corpses in the screenshot, some occupy the same space as others, all submerged in the flooded halls. There are a few dwarves hiding in their rooms, as water doesn't seep through doors. They are trapped, as the halls are completely filled with water. I may reclaim the fort in the future, but for now I'll leave the flooded ruins alone. Might be a fun site for an adventurer, but it was so short lived that there's nothing of note inside.
