One handsome fella
It's weird they would gun for TNA and not entertain RoH or another AEW show

At a rate lower than what they are getting at Netflix.

AEW is disrupting the wrestling market by the value of the contract and the quality of the product they are producing.

Again, you over emphasize the power and influence TKO has.

Netflix is much much bigger than TKO and have cut popular programs that don't fit their parameters.

I want the talent who lost the belts to gain them back via matches on Dynamite or Collision.

Would be a good way of saying thanks to the promotions for allowing Mercedes to win the belts

I see where your coming from in thinking that WWE has a lot of power. Unfortunately they don't. It's 2000 WCW to a tee (including making the same mistakes). The WWE is making money right now but that will dissipate fast. 3/3

- Fans leaving - It's happening and it will get worse for WWE. Even if Hunter is fired and replaced there is little that can be done. The more interesting wrestlers are at AEW or elsewhere.
-Market - There will be a market for a program with a built in fan base that is growing. 2/3

Article -- Andy from Wrestlejoy (the main person who created this community).
-You think WWE has more sway than what it does. If they are not producing results Netflix will exit the contract.
- Exodus - A lot of talent has left, been fired or retired since 2020. 1/3

The only issue #AEW has right now is ensuring the talent they have gets TV time.

They need to get RoH and/or another program on TV/streaming
November 15, 2025 at 9:09 PM
....just to add.

WWE's audience (while large) may not be worth the price point that it demands. If the cost/benefit is not on realistic terms and the completion has a far more reasonable rate and growth networks/streaming services may lean to them.

Your argument to this is pretty weird. Some half truths, using Wrestlenomics as a source and largely ignoring the systemic issues WWE has.

Rather than have 10 posts on this I just responded via the attachments.

Canada for the longest time banned gambling commercials and gambling itself on professional sports.

Maybe containing it to specific companies without commercials would be the best?

In 5 years wrestlers like Darby, Toni, Omega, Osprey etc will be as revered like Bret, Foley, SCSA, Guerrero etc. are.

Villianized.

I am going waaaay back (pre 1980).

Some of the talent, stories and shows in the Territories should have had mainstream media coverage.

It was not until the Attitude Era/WCW late 90s run that media started to pay attention to wrestling.
November 15, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Wrestling was villianized for decades.

It has been margionally better since the attitude era

What is interesting is that there are some legit sports writers and journalists that like wrestling but they need to follow the sport they cover takes up most of their time (Marek and Wyshinski).

Agreed.

This is an opinion I have held about Fightful, WON and other more "respected" podcasters and 'reporters' in the wrestling sphere for a while.

JDfromNY just does it so blatantly it's bizarre that he has any followers.
November 15, 2025 at 1:32 PM
JD is universally disliked.

He has *a following* but I don't think it's as large as some people think it is.

He paid HOG to be their announcer and they asked him to leave the commentary desk when Mercedes Mone was wrestling there.

He has not been back since.

Why not as @hangmanpage.bsky.social if he can get this done for us.
November 15, 2025 at 4:53 AM
As a wrestler Cody is okay.

His creative vision for himself sucks.

I would be interested to see the historical growth of WWE from 1980- 86 and compare it to AEW's first 5-6 years.

I bet the trajectory is similar.

Just apply this argument to any other show and you see how terrible it is. Breaking Bad/Sopranos/Game of Thrones should try to appeal to the casual viewer instead of its rabid fanbase.
