Thanks. My wife is still insisting she can cook but I've told her we can postpone it to another day. Of course she's not going to let that happen... She's sometimes too stubborn for her own good!

Yeah. Nice guy. Really talented, too.

My friend Paul did a run as artist on Namor last year.

We were about to start but my stomach is cramping again and now my wife is feeling nauseous... 😬
November 27, 2025 at 12:29 AM
Yeah it was good but just didn't hit the same heights as the Blind Dead movies.

I enjoyed the way it was another mythology but it does feel a bit of a Best Of another movie...

Such a great album. Banger after banger.

Belter of a theme tune, as well.

Watched all 4 that are available to stream yesterday. First was in a half-doze fever nap, which made it even more awesome. Great movies but I still think the first stands alone without the need for more.

We will be hosting 7-18 people depending on moods, travel and stomach bugs. 😬

TBH I actually prefer eating leftovers after the event, as it's way more relaxed when you're not having to play host and keep everybody happy.

One of the few things we won't be making this year. None of us like it!

I picked up an issue of the "regular" Conan comic a few weeks ago and have been grabbing SSOC when I find them. I also have the first three DH collections, some of which feature issues I actually had as a kid.

There's an antique mall near me that always seems to have "new* issues of SSOC every time I go in. Of course I always pick them up when I see them.

Gateshead isn't a particularly great place. It's between the city of Newcastle and everywhere else so it's the kind of place people pass through when they're going somewhere else.

Poor girl must have sat in the cold a bit too long there. 😆

I've mentioned before but I used to pass the brutalist carpark from this movie every day on the way to work.

Here's what he's probably best known for, although he also co-wrote The Living Years, as recorded by Mike and the Mechanics

Apparently there is some debate over whether anybody actually settled there (I just looked it up 😆) but most of that seems to relate to a mass migration rather than a few isolated survivors, which makes it hard to prove with DNA. It's just an odd story to be telling 400 years later...

My mother's father always said he had a castle in Ireland and her surname is an anglicized version of a Spanish surname. The story she was always told was that her ancestor was part of the Armada and was shipwrecked in Ireland and then settled there. Who knows how true that is but it's interesting.

Oh I'm aware of Featherstone Castle. I'm not sure if I've ever been there but I know of it. That's very cool.
