Things to nationalize: water companies, power companies, bus companies, train companies. Citizens should not be pouring money into profits for shareholders.

Denmark is effortlessly cool. It is also snowing, so Denmark is also cold.

It was a good theory: That calling Elon "President Musk" would get under Trump's famously thin skin, causing division.

But it's not working. I have a theory why — and it helps explain why Republicans in Congress are okay with giving up power, too.

Trump's fragile ego doesn't seem bothered by the "President Elon" meme — here's why
It's also why Republicans in Congress are letting Musk take over

Cosying up to Trump is the global equivalent of choosing to sit next to the nutter on the bus. Starmer and Labour need to change seats, preferably before they get offered a cup full of urine from a battered thermos...

I can only conclude that as Leicester got demolished by Everton and as Arsenal have demolished Manchester City, that the most Leicester thing and the most Arsenal thing that could happen when they play each other next Saturday, is a Leicester win.

If you don’t want history to be re-written please share this video widely - because the only way to stop that happening is to constantly call this boll**** out with the actual facts
If UK news shows are going to give Nigel Farage a platform to spout this absolute boll**** about Brexit & the vaccine rollout (unchallenged) I’ll happily come back every week to correct it

We cannot allow them to rewrite history.

If you agree share this FACT CHECK widely

NO Nigel Farage - the vaccine rollout was not helped by Brexit

Today doesn't say much about how Leicester City are playing. It does tell a story about how bad Tottenham are playing in the Premier League.

It's not even been a full week of Trump's presidency and it's already worse than last time.

Seem to be stuck in a doom-loop where I get angry about the things Trump is doing, then get angry about the people who voted for him, then get angry about lack of opposition that has allowed Trump to do things, then get angry about the things Trump is doing...

Let's be honest, we could really do without a world leader emboldening racists and transphobes. They are two groups who need less encouragement.

If it quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

If it salutes like a nazi, it's a nazi.

If it lies through its teeth with wild hyperbolic promises of wealth, takes away trans rights, issues pardons to people arrested and sentenced for a criminal act on January 6th, it's an idiot and also POTUS.

As Kemi Badenoch criticizes Labour for not sacking Tulip Siddiq immediately, here are a couple of Google searches about Conservative PMs (just the last three due to characters available).

While the Conservatives ask if Rachel Reeves will be chancellor for the duration of this parliament, they had an average of one-a-year between 2019 and 2024.

There's a moment in the marvellous @stevemartinreally.bsky.social film Roxanne (1987) where CD Bales buys a newspaper from a vending machine, looks at it, screams then pays to put it back.

That is how I feel about social media today.

Throwing myself into half marathon training (a bit too late admittedly...) for Bideford in March so I can avoid another debacle like I had in Cardiff back in October but it currently feels like I'm just stretching out the pain over eight weeks instead of two and a half hours.

Starting 2025 with @bathcityfc.bsky.social winning. What more could you want*?

*End to poverty, war, sexism, racism, homophobia, but as this starts with strong community a Bath City win definitely contributes.
