I wouldn’t be so hard on fetterman boosters if they also seemed to learn a damn thing before current year. So many of them are like, ‘sure fetterman was a bust but have y’all heard about this hip new working class candidate in Maine??’

In a sense, but Tim Miller of all people is telling Dems to run more left candidates. Whatever ideological views I disagree with them on, they are all in on defeating trumpism.

I agree with you in a way, but in another way I also feel like the practice of criticism (in the literary sense) gets so wrapped up in itself that it helps having amateurs rediscovering it from first principles sometimes.

it's not non-interventionism, it's non-cooperationism. It's the paleoconservative inability to understand the 'national interest' as anything other than the most narrow way.

And that, even, is just the barest cover for the personalist corruption involved at every level of the administration.

I mean it means there's no easy exit but they're also not likely to get a big leg up off the AI bubble.

the easiest thing for them to do is to simply stop using the term 'ai'. ML was a much more useful name for those positive use cases!

perfectly in line with what I've been saying about their tough-guy act actually hollowing out our security apparatus. Their ideology obstructs their goals at every opportunity.

Maybe it was accepted at Nuremberg, but then they already had their hands full so
December 10, 2025 at 2:19 PM
I think this is wrong, because even with a valid military purpose you still have to weigh the proportionality principle. With near 100% of targets being civilians not involved in the war effort, I don’t think that meets any kind of reasonable threshold.

I mean, that’s just Jacobinism right?
