One of my favourite sense of place films is Mike Leigh’s High Hopes which is set around Kings Cross/St. Pancras in late 80’s. Every time I visit to this day I still think of how much it has changed since that film.

As a United fan I lose count of the number of times I invoke the name of Christ during a typical performance! (Has anyone done this one yet? 😉 )

A wag is a person with a dry sense of humour. A WAG is an acronym beloved of British tabloid newspapers, first used at ‘06 World Cup, often now used (to frustration of grammar nerds) as a noun, such as: “Latest hot pics of player ‘X’s WAG”. Invented by Dubai hotel staff in ‘02 (according to Google).

Does “where you’re from” mean where you were born, where you were raised, or where you live now?

You can’t get much more English than Valentino Francisco Livramento whose dad’s family are Portuguese and his mother is Scottish. 😂

I remember hearing a punk version of Silent Night (UK punk, not The Dickies) on John Peel late 70’s which hilariously included the shouted line “HE KIPPED, IN ‘EAVENLY PEACE!”. I don’t think it’s listed here, but there might be some gems.

Don’t forget Imperial Bedroom, some absolute classics on that as well. We were so lucky to be young during that explosion of creativity.
