My intersex condition (AIS) almost killed me at a very young age. I was extraordinarily lucky to make it past 21. Heck, I was even quite lucky to make it past 14. And the worst part is, AIS is not that hard to diagnose and its medical complications are very treatable, doctors just don’t give a shit.

I’m damn lucky I’m intersex. Saved me from some of the worst effects of male puberty and gave me endless opportunities to succeed despite fucking up my transition hard.

Hi, I just wanted to hop on to say that I now know I have some form of androgen insensitivity (I said partial androgen insensitivity earlier, but I was mixing up terms, it’s probably more likely to be mild androgen insensitivity). Also, figuring this out literally just saved my life.

I have come to realize that some of the statements I made in my last thread are more specific to my own situation due to my atypical endocrine system (I likely have partial androgen insensitivity) and not as general as I thought.

I’m a trans woman who started transitioning at 21. Around the age of 25, new facial features started cropping up that made me feel dysphoric. I thought I was reverting back into a man (which is funny, because I never really looked like a man, just a boy).

I just realized a lot of what radicalized me was how people are treated for literally just trying not to starve. Like when people get in legal trouble for dumpster diving or when restaurant workers are punished or fired from their jobs for eating leftover food instead of throwing it away.

Varoufakis gets banned from even appearing digitally in Germany because of his support for Palestine while Elon MuSSKKK gets to appear on a gargantuan screen at a Nuremberg-ass AfD rally and spread actual Nazi and Holocaust apologia with no repercussions. Germany is so ass-backwards 🤦‍♀️

Just voted by mail in the 2025 parliamentary election in Germany. Not excited to see the results 🫣 but I’m glad I at least did my part to make them a little less shit

I have been told not to use my ADHD diagnosis as a crutch. This struck me as strange, as a diagnosis can be an important tool for gaining access to resources, such as medication. It’s a bit like telling someone with a broken leg to not use their literal crutches as a crutch.
