Check out Yuyang’s terrific job market paper on evaluating the U.S. Interstate Highway Network in spatial equilibrium with decentralized strategic investments by state planners. A major advance in the knowledge frontier.
Excited to share my JMP “Strategic Transportation Investment and Coordinative Policies: Evidence from the U.S. Highway Network.” I show that limited cooperation across states leaves the U.S. highway network underbuilt and misallocated. I explain factors that drive these distortions. Link below.
