When the so called ‘black heron’ showed up in Louisiana last month, I instantly knew it was covered in pollution. I emailed authorities and they assured me it was healthy - though it died shortly after smelling strongly of creosote. I’ve been haunted since then

Ominous bird valentines.
A collection of six ominous bird valentines set against a background of pink hearts.
