We hereby retire the “record scratch-Freeze frame-You may be wondering how I got here” meme.

It’s over. It will never be topped by this image.

If you're a games freelancer and you're going to physically be in LA around TGAs in December, and you still have capacity to pick up further work, I would love to hear from you: [email protected]

I’ve loved every stage of parenting for different reasons, but “old enough for us to start a play-through of Kingdom Hearts together” is a truly thrilling milestone.

Just watching our air quality deteriorate in real time. Really excellent that smoke season is just an annual event here now.

I have plenty of shortcomings as a caregiver (and human), but my 10-week-old puppy just wagged his tail in his sleep and that makes me feel like I must be doing some things right.

Bluesky, meet Luffy, the cutest Straw Hat Pirate. He’s 10 weeks old today and I’m obsessed. He’s the fourth puppy I’ve raised, and the first that is not a herding breed, and I did not realize puppies could be so chill. Like he just lets me carry him around the house like the fluffy baby he is.

Me: I’m in NYC, guess I’ll take an actual yellow cab to the airport instead of an Uber.

Cab driver: cuts through a parking lot; gets pulled over. 🫠

An MBA is probably not in my future. But if it were, I think I’d want to study how Loungefly came to so wholly dominate the market for bags to carry at Disneyland.

Today, in Close Calls with the ADHD Tax, I realized, upon receiving confirmations from two different booking companies at two different emails, that I had booked two different rental cars for a trip next week. Booked one, then 6 weeks later apparently thought “oh I’d better book a rental car.”

Finally experienced Marie’s Crisis and it was everything my musical theater-loving heart could have dreamed of. 🥰

Going into the week with the energy of the SEA TSA agent informing everyone of exactly how long the regulations they forget have been in effect. “No liquids. 18 years, 4 months, 14 days.”

Really fantastic time to be a frequent flyer.
“There are currently four people remaining over there to do the work of 15 people. The danger to the national airspace can’t be understated."

"This is a very real threat to the American flying public.”

It’s never been more important to make sure you are getting your information from people who know what they’re talking about. (“Often says things I think are smart and that I agree with” is not the same thing as that.) (Neither is “sounds certain.”)

Walked in to find my husband sitting with our kid watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Kid hasn’t seen the others so I questioned why we were starting there. Husband: “There’s a lot of Nazi-punching in this one.” Ah. Yes, carry on.

This is, in fact, exactly what I need.
With everything so seemingly terrible these days & no sign of anything remotely hopeful in the near future, I thought you might need this photo of a baby giraffe.

I lived in CA for 10 years, 6 of those in LA. It’s so surreal to watch the evacuation zone creep closer and closer to our old apartment, the one we brought our son home to when he was born. Just heartbroken by the devastation and loss happening.

I’m on my third viewing of Wicked and still blown away by the level of care and detail they put into this movie. My fx artist husband just noticed the lens flares are half pink/half green

Yeah the JW lobby is great but have you tried just having dinner and two (2) drinks and then going back to your hotel room and wearing your pajamas
