Pneumonia shot earlier this month, then 1st dose shingles vaccine. Was planning flu + COVID, but ended up on antibiotics for a persistent sinus infection. Another week & I’ll be clear for those plus Hep B which somehow I missed.

Is the Spink Cafe still in operation, I wonder? Many a great breakfast gathering there (and also I had a used Jeep that died in Spink, never to run again).

My former SIL’s green chili cornbread dressing is my fave adopted recipe.
Crumbled cornbread; sautéed onion, celery, mushroom; lots of sage & rosemary, 12oz jar or couple small cans roasted green chilies (mild-med or hot). Beaten egg, chicken stock til a lil soupy, then bake. YUM

I am eyeing one particular 16-20’ spruce for a holiday tree for me or someone else. Its top is really nicely formed, so I could limb it up, block the bottom section for firewood, and keep the top.
It has been a long time since I had a tree, but I *might* still have a stand somewhere!

I simply do not understand the, “are you my friend?” compulsion when someone who is *clearly not your friend* does one right thing.
By all means congratulate them on their one right thing. Encourage them to take one more step into right things. Do not mistake that one right thing for friendship 🤦🏼♀️

As a former (state level) lobbyist in South Dakota, I learned the fine art of kudos & camaraderie on ONE. SINGLE. THING. while avoiding the swift kick in the teeth on literally every other thing.

Yikes! I didn’t know the weird hallucinations were an “everybody” reaction, but I’ve avoided Benadryl unless absolutely necessary for precisely this reason 😵💫

I’ve had people see my Corgi-mix boy’s face in the car window, assume he’s a black G.S., and upon seeing the rest of him ask, “what happened to his legs?!?” 😂
