I can understand that! I would have to join discord calls for statics/PF (thus those unfortunate memories lol), but I took the year off from all that and happily chucked the headset into storage XD

So true lol. And the classic joining of the discord call, you have your mic on mute, they call you dude, then when you DO speak they are like “omg, a GIRL?” And they immediately make it weird. Thankfully not every experience is like that, but I roll my eyes at how many times it has happened!

Ugh, I was just thinking about this the other day. How many times I’ve automatically been referred to as “dude/him/he” in PF/DF/discord/socials because of men’s assumptions. Doesn’t matter what char I’m playing as either. Yes, women PVP and savage raid and play melee. And *gasp* we are good at it.

Such an important realization with raiding! Also, crit variance. There's always pulls where you get tons of crits then it's a wipe, followed by a clear with very little crits. Or variables like adjusting for others during mechs or you inherit a TB in the clear pull (has happened... so much lol)
